Thank you to our Northeastern Local School District community for voting to renew the 1% earned income tax levy. We are incredibly grateful for your continued commitment to our schools and our students. Your vote allows us to maintain the stable funding needed to provide a strong educational foundation, including support for teachers, staff, classroom resources, and student opportunities.
We want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and energy on the levy campaign. Your passion and dedication played a key role in this outcome.
This vote of confidence means we can keep focusing on what matters most—teaching, learning, and building a strong future for our children. Together, we’ll keep moving forward to build a stronger NELSD.
✈️ NEHS | Shoes 4 The Shoeless 👟
Giving back is an excellent virtue to hold, and the Northeastern High School National Honors Society surely got to learn the importance of charitable giving. ❤️🤝
📍These students traveled out to a local elementary school, where they worked closely with the “Shoes 4 The Shoeless” Nonprofit, and the Springfield JROTC, to give out shoes to over 160 children! 🚸👟
👟 Shoes 4 the Shoeless is always looking for more donations, if you would like to aid in their mission to: “provide new, properly fitting gym shoes and socks to children in need,” please visit their website! 🎉
Lear 25 Jet Finds New Home on Northeastern Campus
Northeastern Graduates Kyle Davis, Andrew Mowell, Holden Fosnaugh, and Ethan Thompson of SpectraJet proudly deliver a grounded Lear 25 to 'The Home of the Jets'! 🛩️
✨ This remarkable donation, spearheaded by these dedicated alumni, ensures this iconic jet will forever grace the new NE campus as a symbol of excellence and ambition.
A big thank you to SpectraJet, Kyle, Andrew, Holden and Ethan for helping us complete our PK-12 Campus with its very own Jet!
✈️ NEHS FFA Gives Back to the Staff 🥞 💙💛
Our amazing FFA officers had the opportunity to show their appreciation by serving a delicious pancake breakfast to the high school and middle school staff the Tuesday before Thanksgiving 
break.
From flipping pancakes to serving smiles 
, these officers brought leadership and teamwork to the table-literally! A big thank you to the staff that came to enjoy the breakfast and spend their morning celebrating the beginning of our break!

Huge congratulations to our Northeastern Competition Cheer Squad for bringing home the OAC Small Game Day Non-Build State Championship! 
The squad wowed the crowd at the OAC State Competition on Sunday, January 12, 2025, held at Marysville High School. Their hard work, spirit, and teamwork truly shined! 
A big shoutout to their amazing coaches for their dedication and guidance in leading the team to victory!

The Northeastern Local Schools Board of Education will hold its July regular board meeting on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Board Office.
The Northeastern Local School District (NELSD) is proud to announce the appointment of two new assistant principals for the 2025-2026 school year. Mrs. Alicia Anstine will serve as assistant principal at Kenton Ridge Elementary School (KRES), while Mrs. Alyssa Woolever will join Kenton Ridge Middle School (KRMS) in the same capacity. Both appointments were approved by the NELSD Board of Education at the June Regular Board Meeting held on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
In May, our beloved Northeastern FFA Chapter enjoyed two days filled with fun, awards, and hands-on learning at The Ohio State Fairgrounds. During the 97th Ohio State FFA Convention, the chapter earned well-deserved recognition for its dedication and accomplishments over the past year.
